Kalubowitiyana (Ruhuna Region)

This estate is situated in the southern planting district of Sri Lanka. Kalubowitiyana factory is situated at an elevation of 450m (1476ft) above sea level. The factory was built in 1994 to manufacture CTC (cut tear curl) type tea. The region itself is blessed with bright, warm and sunny days with abundance of rainfall, which is conducive for excellent growing conditions and produces succulent leaf throughout the year. This Pekoe Fannings 1 gives out a natural strong coloury tea with a rich and distinctive taste
