Lovers leap estate takes its name from a tragic ancient love story between a prince and a girl. When there was no hope of the two lovers uniting, they ended their heartache by leaping off the precipice The elevation of the estate is 1829m (6000ft) above sea level. It is also believed that Lovers Leap estate was the only estate that was owned by the pioneer tea planter- James Taylor. Lovers Leap has an intriguing aroma that is quite unlike other Ceylon teas, but the flavor is quite typical of a classic Ceylon with the pure, straightforward biscuit-like tea flavor that Ceylon teas are known for. The Lovers Leap Pekoe we bring you makes a light cup, with a slightly strident and green flavor.
